Midfielder Alfred Duncan wants to use his loan move to Sampdoria to secure a place in Ghana’s squad for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Italian giants Inter Milan have loaned the 21-year-old midfielder for the next two seasons.

“At Inter, I was fine,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“Now, the goal is to get into the Ghanaian national team for the African Cup of Nations and I hope that my teammates will help me achieve this goal.

“I want to put on a show. I am ready to learn and experience new things. At Livorno, I learned so much and I want to continue on the same path.

“It was great. My teammates greeted me well. I have also spoken to the coach and I have met him.”

Duncan made 32 appearances on-loan at Livorno last season including 19 starts.

He was part of the Ghana under-20 team that picked bronze at the 2013 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Turkey.

No far off from been a top top midfielder. Would definitely make it to AFCON 2015. No doubt.

I don’t think so. Duncan was a flop during the u20 world cup. coming from Inter Milan, he could not even compete with local players.
Moreover he was adjudged the worst signing by the president of Livorno where he was on loan. He has the potential but his maturity has been slow. That is why Inter keeps loaning him out

Like Afriyie Acquah and Acca had to do, ghana players now see the only way they can make it to national team is to boot your own horn. With this coach AA, GFA and current section policy, I doubt you will make it any other way.

Just continue to work hard and you will take ME”s position. You have the talent. Just polish it. The secret is hard work; going the extra mile.

He’s no good player. I’ve watched him severally and he has nothing special to give our national teams, at least as it looks right now.

    Let’s try him and see
