Ex Ghana star Sammy Kuffour says the Black Stars must have no fears going into the crucial 2014 World Cup playoff qualifier against Egypt.
Ghana are faced with a Herculean task of beating the record African champions over two legs to make its third consecutive appearance at the World Cup finals next year in Brazil.
The Black Stars will be hosting the Pharaohs in the first leg on 15 October before travelling for the return leg on 19 November.
Many Ghanaians have however greeted the fixture against Egypt with relative fear mainly due to inferior head-to-head record Ghana have against the North Africans.
But former Bayern Munich star Kuffour says Ghana’s superstars should make them favourites.
“Why should we fear? Ask yourself why should we be afraid of the other nation?,” he quizzed.
“We are having the materials. You can see for yourself the quality we have in camp.
“The only thing to do is to boost them, give them the confidence. We should put negativity aside and think positive.”
