Amidu Salifu could stay at Catania, according to his agent

Ghana youth midfielder Amidu Salifu could stay with Serie A side Catania after the expiration of his loan deal at the end of the season, according to his agent Maximum Briaschi.

The 22-year-old moved to the Stadio Angelo Massimino from Fiorentina at the start of the Serie A campaign and has been limited to just four starts and two substitute appearances.

But in his last three games for the Rossazzurri, the former Ghana U-20 midfielder has been impressive leaving manager Rolando Maran with no option than to maintain him in his starting line-up.

“In June, Catania will decide whether to keep him or not naturally he will play better for them and for a more prudent,” he told tuttomercatoweb.com.

With the mid-table side set to miss three key players in midfield, Maran is expected to depend heavily on the talent of the Sunyani-born.
