Godfred Saka sat out of Wednesday’s training session of Ghana’s CHAN team but only as a precautionary measure.

The Aduana Stars’ right-back has injured his toe just weeks towards the start of the CHAN tournament in South Africa.

The 25-year-old is considered one of the key players for Maxwell Konadu’s side and therefore it will be a massive blow if his injury causes his withdrawal from the team.

But the right-back has allayed all fears by saying his injury is not serious.

“I hurt my toes in training but it is nothing serious,” he told Metro FM.

“I am abstaining from training as a precautionary measure and nothing more.”
