South African Referee Daniel Bennett has been appointed by Caf to handle Wednesday’s Nations Cup game between Ghana and Guinea.
The two sides lock horns at the Stade de Franceville in a must-win game that will decide who goes through from Group D.
A loss depending on how other Group D game between Mali and Botswana pans out could still see Ghana through to the quarter finals.
The Black Stars have however made their intention to beat the Syli Nationale clear so they qualify as group winners and also keep their 100% record in the tournament intact.
Bennett, 36, who has been named twice the PSL best referee will be assisted by Ivorian Yeo Sunguifolo and compatriot, Siwela Zakheli.
Ghana goes into Wednesday’s crucial match-up with a three point lead at the top of Group D.
thus my man daniel the real bennett
Can we trust these Ivorian assistant refs? Won’t they wish GH is out of the tournament so their country can sail through comfortably to reach for the ultimate?
conspiracy paaa nie CAF!
Even the referee is a suspect, how many times would SA referees handle our matches?
Trust Ghana to score beautiful undeniable goals to seal their lips.
obi ba hahahahahah that was exactly what i was thinking when i read that the assistant referee is an ivorian.
