The Premier League Board has confirmed the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi to host the league match between Real Tamale United and Tema Youth on Sunday.

The decision to have RTU play away from home is as result of the closure of the Tamale Stadium from hosting premier league matches.

“Following the closure of the Tamale Sports Stadium to Premier League matches by the Ghana Football Association; the PLB has scheduled the RTU/Tema Youth match to the ESSIPONG SPORTS STADIUM on Sunday 11th November 2012 at 3:00pm.”

The Executive Committee last week suspended the Tamale Sports Stadium, traditional grounds of RTU from hosting premier league matches.

The decision was arrived at following two separate cases of violence exhibited by the management and supporters of Real Tamale United Football Club, who use the grounds as their home in the on-going Glo Premier League.

I think the premier league board is not fair to RTU, the should also review away matches of RTU and see how they are mishandled whenever they travel away.
