RTU coach Gargo told to step aside

Posted On Tuesday, 20th November 2012

Mohammed Gargo has been asked to step aside

Coach Mohammed Gargo has been asked to keep away from the activities of Real Tamale United until the expiration of his four-match ban.

The former Ghana defender was red carded in their Ghana Premier League week-5 fixture against Hearts of Oak in Accra.

Officials of the Tamale-based side have instructed the 37-year-old to stay from the training grounds and all activities of the club until he finish serving his suspension.

It is however unclear if the move could lead to his dismissal from the club.

Gargo masterminded the return of the pride of the north to the top-flight after just a season in the lower division.

  1. Tanko says:

Gargo must not be discharged at all grounds. It is understandable that if he stays away from the club’s activities until his suspension elapsed. Dawou and Gargo can work to maintain and improve their performances. It would be a bad decision to kick Gargo out.
