Struggling Ghanaian Premier League side Real Tamale United have named Ukrainian trainer Roberto Carlos as their new coach, the club’s assistant coach has confirmed.
Head coach Gargo Mohammed has not returned to post since being banned by the Ghana Football Association in November.
The Northern Lions have struggled to impress and are without a win after the first round of the Ghanaian Premier League.
RTU officials believe the 50-year-old who had stints in Spain and Australia can turn round the fortunes of the club.
Assistant Alhassan Dawuo confirmed the appointment: “We have a new head coach who had stints in Spain and Australia and I’m maintaining my post as assistant trainer.”
RTU are bottom of the table with just 5 points from 15 games.
