Asante Kotoko winger Richard Mpong has sparked talks he could be leaving the club after accusing the side of neglect following a robbery attack on his apartment.

The 24-year-old claims he has lost several of his valuables following the robbery attack over a month ago while away in Koforidua.

Mpong goes on to claim Kotoko have declined to help assuage his plight despite initial assurances of support.

The Ghana international earlier to social networking site, Facebook to express his grief and lack of love shown by the club.

Mpong posted: "I came with love, expecting to be loved, but they don't love me.”

His comments is considered as hints being dropped of his intention to quit the club he only joined two seasons ago from Medeama.

The pacey winger in an interview with Kumasi-based Metro FM says club officials have even refused to pick his calls in his time of need.

“I was robbed and lost a lot of my stuff but the club have refused to come to my aid since I reported the matter to them,” he said.

“I spoke to Opoku Nti [General Manager] and he assured me the club will help.

“They asked me to write a letter which I did and now he [Opoku Nti] doesn’t even take my calls anymore.

“I feel quite bad and disturbed by the situation as it appears my own club has neglected me in my time of need.”
