Richard Kingson fails to reach deal with Turkish side Balikesirspor
Richard Kingson's reported move to Balikesirspor has hit a snag.

Veteran goalkeeper Richard Kingson’s reported move to Turkish second-tier side Balikesirspor fell through after both parties failed to reach an agreement.

According to reports in Turkey, the 36-year-old gloves man passed a medical but the second-tier side could not meet his financial demands.

Kingson, who plays for Cypriot top-flight side Doxa, was seeking a move to a much competitive league to boost his World Cup chances.

It is still unknown if he will be interested in looking for a new club.

The former Blackpool goalkeeper made 10 appearances for Doxa Katokopia before the winter break.

Kingson was an unused substitute in Ghana’s 6-1 win over Egypt last October in the first leg tie of the 2014 World Cup playoff.
