The Ghana FA believes the return of Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng will not be detrimental to the progress of the Black Stars insisting they will help boost the side in its future matches.
The AC Milan duo slapped in separate letters to confirm their desire to return to the team on Thursday.
There are however brewing perceptions the return of these players will threaten the peace and harmony in the Ghana camp as their noted to have ‘volatile’ characters.
But Ghana FA’s spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara is confident the return of the Milan duo will only hand Ghana the much needed boost and vigour going forward.
“I don’t think their return will be destructive at all, the national team is meant to gather the best Ghanaian players at any point in time,” he told Radio Gold.
“The national team is not like a club where you can sign players. You only need the best players at any point in time to ensure the Black Stars remain on the right path.
“If anything at all, it will rather invigourate the team ahead of future assignments.”
Olympique Marseille duo Andre and Jordan Ayew are expected to follow suit by writing to the Ghana FA to rescind their decision to leave the Black Stars temporarily.
