Renowned social and political commentator Kwesi Pratt Jnr has slammed the Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi for supporting the idea to have ex coach Milovan Rajevac join the Black Stars’ technical team for the 2014 World Cup.

The Serbian trainer has been asked by coach Kwesi Appiah to join his backroom staff for June’s World Cup in Brazil.

The initiative taken by coach Appiah has already received massive support from the GFA boss who remains a fan of Milovan Rajevac due to his impressive work during his two year reign in charge of the Black Stars.

But Kwesi Pratt who is the Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper has kicked against the move – arguing it is a defeatist stance of the abilities of the local coach.

“We all advocated for a local coach to lead the Black Stars because we were fed-up with the foreign ones, and then you come again and tell us this?” Pratt said on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo show.

“What is wrong with the GFA; how can they think of bringing back this coach.

“What did he do with the Black Stars when he was leading them?

“Sometimes I just don’t understand some of these officials. It is so annoying.

“Meanwhile, if he returns, his pay is even likely to exceed that of Kwesi Appiah.”

Ghana wants to make a stronger impact at the 2014 World Cup than their previous appearances.

The Black Stars almost made it to the semi finals of the last World Cup in South Africa with the Serbian trainer in charge.
