France-based Ghana defender John Boye has urged his former side Heart of Lions to maintain their momentum in the Ghana Premier League and seek to topple leaders Asante Kotoko.

Lions are ten points behind the defending champions in second place but can cut down their lead to seven if they win their outstanding match against Medeama.

The Kpando-based side are on the verge of securing a Champions League qualification spot if they maintain their performance by finishing runners-up.

But Boye, who now plays for French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes, wants his former side to keep on winning and hope for the best with three matches remaining.

“I will just urge them to keep up the spirit they started the season with because it has not been easy for them especially last season,” he said

“They are in a good position to keep up the chase on the league leaders so they should continue with that.”
