Heart of Lions captain Ofosu Amoah says referees have played a major role the team’s predicament this season.
The Kpando-based club are winless in eight consecutive Premier League games and are currently just three points above the relegation zone.
And with three matches left to the end of the campaign, the Lions camp feel all odds including referees are against their plight to remain in the Ghanaian top flight.
“I don’t know whether the referees have planned to get us relegated or what,” he told Kumasi-based Fox FM.
“They tend to disallow good goals scored both home and away – making it extremley difficult for us to get going.”
Amoah however insists the team will keep fighting on despite the clear agenda by referees to get the side.
“We play against Dwarfs in our next game and we aim to fight on to save the club from relegation even if the referees have ganged up against us.”
Ofosu Amoah with your level of experience on the field i didnt expect you to say that.because we have the referee’s committee,so please if you can’t go and let someone come in,after selling your players you want to top the league.even wassaman utd and berekum arsenal are not complaining
What referees!! Too much of player selling tooo much. Try to retain your best players. Yi koe ma….
I think he has a truth in this story.
This season, they’ve had a lot of goals ruled offside,a number of clear offside goals conceded against but I also think the player transfer is too much.
