Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has praised the work ethics of Michael Essien.
The 29-year-old is expected to mark his debut for the Spanish giants tonight after being named in the squad to face Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
The former Lyon man endured a terrible spell at Chelsea where he was restricted to the substitute bench at the start of this season.
But the Ghanaian star has impressed heavily at Madrid’s training grounds and their Portuguese manager has showered praises on the combative enforcer.
“Essien has come with a huge motivation, with the energy of seven years without physical discomfort,” Mourinho said
“Michael has been very nice, I appreciate the gesture.
“Michael has been nice today saying that the most important miss of Real Madrid would be mine, but we are all equal.”
