Real Madrid, Man United target Ghana U20 stars in SA

Ghana's Under-20 in team that toured Italy in November last year

European giants Real Madrid and Manchester United are in South Africa to watch Ghana’s Under-20 stars at the Cape Town Invitational Tournament.

The Black Satellites parade promising talents like impressive left-back Baba Abdul Rahman who is set for a trial at Arsenal this summer.

Wa All Stars winger Frank Sarfo can be a target with his lethal raids on the flanks.

Goalkeeper Felix Annan and Jacob Appau could be a transfer targets.

Ghana made a bright start to their campaign by beating Nigeria 3-2 at the Athlone Stadium on Friday.

Tournament organizers say scouts of stellar European will be around to monitor future stars.

“We have been inundated with phenomenal interest from some of the biggest football organizations in the world, the likes of Real Madrid (Spain), Manchester United (England) and clubs from Brazil will all be sending scouts to watch the tournament,” said acting SAFA President Mandla Shoes Mazibuko.

“I hope also to see talent scouts from our PSL clubs – they can identify some very exciting young players for the future.”

The tournament continues on Saturday when Kenya play Japan and Brazil lock horn with Cameroon in Group B.
