GHANA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION

ACCRA-NORTH

ATTN: EMMANUEL GYIMAH

Thanks for your letter of 27th February, 2013 on the above subject.

I am giving priority of thought to the issues raised in your letter in response to my letter communicating my decision to withdraw my services from the senior national team the Black Stars.

I am most sincerely grateful to you for expressing your desire to address the issues that provoked my decision, some of which I most certainly believe, you are undoubtedly aware of for which reason I do not intend to catalogue them for discussion (I really think disagreement) at a roundtable with the Association. Time definitely heals wounds.

In the meantime, I shall revert to you in due course on the issues on my availability for the national team in due course.

Counting on your co-operation

GHANA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION

P.O.BOX AN 19338

ACCRA-NORTH

ATTN: EMMANUEL GYIMAH

I have received your letter of 27th February, 2013 on my decision to resign temporarily from international soccer.

I accept your recommendation to me to reconsider my decision and make myself available for future Black Stars assignment.

As indicated in my letter to the Ghana Football Association my decision to withdraw my services for the senior national football team is only temporary.

I will therefore definitely and certainly make myself available for future Black Stars assignment, but not immediately.

I appreciate your swift reaction to my letter and the suggestion implied in your letter that I am still relevant for the Black Stars assignment.

Thank you so much

These brothers are very rude and selfish. ENOUGH!!! Focus on the guys that want to be there!!

  2. JNR says:

What an incompetent Association we have. You have just been embarrassed by these guys and you’re now a laughing stock. I remember very well when Ghana never once was short of players willing to play for the national team but it seems that’s not the case anymore with this Association.

As much as i understand where the Ayews have their grievances, there is no way for this Association to be treating them like they are the heart of this Black Stars and need them to come back at all cost. It’s an unfortunate situation having this GFA not showing much respect to the public’s concern of the Black Stars.

Personally the whole staff at GFA should be replaced including the technical team of the Black Stars. Also yes i believe we WILL qualify for the world cup BUT we will have to replace Akwasi Appiah before we embark to Brazil. Qualifying for the world cup will come from the players and NOT because of Akwasi Appiah!

  3. PITO says:

The both say they will make themselves available in due course so what is the hullubaloo here my people? This is a normal occurence. When they later make themselves available it will be in the discretion of the then coach to call them for assignments or not to call them still even though they are available. so all those talking chinese should take a chill pill. and breeeath…

  4. mojahadine says:

This letter is unbelievably patronizing. This is the kind of treatment these brothers have been seeking all along, being pursued by the GFA and guaranteeing them a permanent place in our national team.

It is even mind boggling how this idiotic GFA and its crumb snatcher’s have fallen for this nonsense. I guess they deserves every little bit of the bluffing they are getting.

What pisses me off, even more, is the importance the GFA and its surrogates are giving to their resignations as if they are the only players of their king that Ghana has and no other player of the same positions are good enough.

Has anyone forgotten about how their father Abedi Pele got his chance at playing for the Black Stars? It was when a coach was brave enough to send a player home from the Black Stars due to insubordination at an AFCON camp when one of the coaches suggested that they call that “”little boy”, their father Abedi Pele to replace the disobedient player, and the rest is history.

So, it is unbelievable how the GFA is spending too much time and energy on these guys when they should be scouting to find replacement.

    • texas says:

@mojahadine: I agree with you mojahadine! In as much as we want the best for the Blacks Stars, am not in support of the practice of begging certain players to play for the Black Stars! after all players benefit more playing for national teams and not the other way round. One advantage of playing for national team is that, some countries will only grant work permit to players that have featured for their national teams for certain period of time. In this instance who gains? your guess is as good as mine.
I will say that only players who are ready wholeheartedly to play for the Black Stars should be called, and no player should be given a preferential treatment or favored more that others!

      • ----- says:

Unfortunately these guys hold an European Union passport and so they don’t need national team call ups to work in Europe. The rules don’t apply across board in Europe. It is your essiens who need national team play to feature in England. .

  5. Don Justy says:

We’re tired of this egotistic bofoon ayews or whatever they call themselseves. To hell with them. Fools….

  6. Prettytony says:

Jordan was deemed not matured or fit to fit to play the blackstars,Dede was the one always bringing disunity in the blackstars hence their exclusion from the team..
What has changed in two months?

    • ----- says:

My brother say it again. The whole world was made to believe that the black stars could do well without the Ayews. Why are we now blaming them for deciding to mind their own business? Jordan played in the qualifiers and scored goals for ghana. When we were going to the Afcon , you brought in Clottey,Yahaya, and Yiadom telling us that Jordan was not good enough. Ironically that was a time he had won the player of the month in OM. We thought Atsu was going to perform magic so we chased Dede out. why are they now being recalled to the team. We want them to qualify us so we can chase them out for our bribe paying player to play to the benefit of those corrupt officials? I am sure the black stars will do fine without them, so let them be. At least they can preserve a little dignity whiles playing in their boyhood team. If people were hacked because of discipline, I doubt whether Nyantekyi would be around. Those bribe taking officials have the guts to call a player indisciplined. Funny

  7. dubai aziza says:

@mojahadin you are the best!!!……….you always take the words out of ma mouth!!

  8. Ezekiel Obiba says:

What do we expect from them when players pay bribe be4 dey are call into BS.Asamoah Gyan paid money to the fa jx for him to be given the captains band and dat useless coach called Akwesi Appiah did notin about it.Long live Ghana Football. Mojahadin will spoken my broda.
