Ex-Ghana international striker Razak Pimpong is making steady progress in his journalism career in Denmark as he takes his programme to the doorsteps of top stars in the Danish Super Liga.

Pimpong, 31, signed for Danish third-tier side Ringkøbing in June 2013 but the former Great Olympics man has now turned his tables and is now an admirable journalist in the Northern European country after hanging his boots.

The 2006 Ghana World Cup star is still staying in football after almost two decades on the pitch as he focuses his attention on stars in the Danish top-division league and interviewed Viborg star midfielder Lukas Lerager on Tuesday and later profiled the career of the youngster.

While most Ghanaian players struggle to find a formidable career line after their retirement from football, Pimpong is leading an innovative media programme which is gaining popularity in Denmark and sweeping massive audience.

Pimpong’s new career is expected to serve as a lesson to other Ghanaian footballers who struggle to make ends meet after retirement.

On Tuesday, former Anderlecht and Bastia midfielder Ben Wilson openly admitted on a local radio station – Asempa FM, that he is broke and now drives a tax in Kumasi.

The forward is immensely popular in Denmark after he spent over a decade plying his career in the country, playing for giants Midtjylland and Copenhagen and making over 170 appearances and scoring over 50 goals.

Pimpong, who won silver with the Ghana U20 side in Argentina 2001 and played in Ghana’s debut campaign at the FIFA World Cup, in 2006 in Germany is keen to compete for audio among football lovers in Denmark.
