Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila is targeting a move to Europe within one year of his stay at South African club Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 20-year-old joined the PSL side this off-season from Ebusua Dwarfs haven excelled on loan at Asante Kotoko.
The Ghana international joins a growing Ghanaian continengent in the South African top flight.
The central defender is however bent on leaving the Brazilians within one year in pursuit of his dream move to Europe.
“I have set my target to move to Europe within one year,” he said.
“I have signed a two year contract with Sundowns but I aim to move within a year.”
Sumaila is the third Ghanaian to join Pitso Mosimane’s side in recent years.
He follows the likes of Mumuni Abubakar and Emmanuel Baffour who had unsuccessful stints in South Africa.
