On-loan defender Rashid Sumaila says he’s enjoying his return to Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko.

The 21-year-old has re-joined the Porcupine Warriors after a turbulent start to life at Mamelodi Sundowns.

The former Ebusua Dwarfs defender was frozen out by the South African side, forcing him to seek a loan move back to his native country.

The strong centre-back says he’s enjoying his return to the Ghanaian giants.

“So far it’s been pretty good and I’m enjoying my time here again,” he said

“You know this is my home and I have played here before and so adjusting to life is not difficult at all.

“We have a strong team which can win the Premier League win again and hopefully everything will fall in place for us.”

Sumaila is expected to play a key role for the Kumasi-based side ahead of their title defense this term.
