Ransford Osei signs six-month deal with Bloem Celtic

Ghanaian youngster Ransford Osei has signed a six-month contract for South African top flight side Bloemfontein Celtic.

The 21-year-old wants an avenue to revive his dwindling career after remaining inactive for close to one year.

Osei impressed Celtic coach Clinton Larsen and the technical team during his training spell with the Siwelele.

The club will begin work on his work permit this month.

"We will be looking to add on to our great performances towards the end of last year and build on those back-to-back wins, and I think this signing is a prudent one and he is a player of great promise and will add a touch of class to our squad," said Celtic CEO Khumbulani Konco.

''He has played for some highly-rated teams like Maccabi and FC Twente and that experience will stand him and the club in good stead for the rest of the season,'' he added.

The 2007 Fifa Under-17 World Cup silver shoe winner has struggled to meet expectations after failed stints abroad.

Osei has played for Maccabi Haifa, FC Twente and Granada.
