Ransford Osei scored his first Premier League goal for Kotoko on Sunday
Striker Ransford Osei has revealed his relief at netting his first Premier League goal for Kotoko against All Stars in a 3-1 win for the champions.
The former Ghana Under-20 star had to wait 11 matches into the season to break his goal duck as he netted the third goal for the side in the sweet victory.
Kotoko left it late to bag maximum points after going down 1-0 through Seidu Salifu’s first half strike.
When the game looked to be cruising for the Wa-based side, defender Kwabena Edusei soared above the defenders of All Stars to grab the equalizer in the 82nd minute.
Three minutes later, substitute Nafiu Iddrisu scored Kotoko’s second before Osei sealed victory with the third goal.
“I am very happy to have finally scored and I hope it will continue like this,” Osei said
“I have never been in a rush and I kept saying the time for me to score would come and I thank God it’s finally here.
“I will just urge the fans to pray for me and the team because the sky will be the limit for us.”
Kotoko have jumped to 5th on the table after recording only their fourth win of the season and remain unbeaten after 11 matches in the top-flight.
