Utility player Rahim Ayew says Ghanaians should expect more excellent performances from the Ayew brothers following impressive performances this season.

His junior brothers Andre and Jordan have excelled for Marseille this season steering the French side to the FA Cup.

Marseille are also in the hunt for the title with the Ghanaian duo playing instrumental in their late season surge.

Rahim, who plays in Belgium with Lierse, has also been excelling in the Belgian league play-offs which has drawn attention on the family.

The Ayew family is the most popular footballing in Ghana as the father of the trio Abedi Pele won the Africa Player of the Year award three times.

Pele’s brothers Kwame Ayew and Sola Ayew also played for their countries.

Rahim insists the current Ayew trio will continue working hard to help take Ghana football to the highest level.

“My brothers have been playing well for Marseille this season and I am also doing my best here in Belgium,” Rahim told GHANAsoccernet.com

“This is just the beginning for all of us because we are still young and have got many years to come in our careers.

“Jordan and Andre have shown to Marseille and the footballing world that they can excel when they are given the necessary support.

“I am also fighting here to keep the name of the family high and keep the name of Ghana on top of the game.

“Our father set a very high standard which will be difficult to us to equal. But our father will be proud if we are able to do it and that’s a challenge for all of us.

“We encourage each other to get the best out of ourselves and i know we will meet the expectations of Ghana fans.”

Abedi Pele has recently spoken of his pride following the successes of his three sons.
