Rahim Ayew says high-flying Kotoko must not take their feet off the pedal ahead of the visit of Amidaus Professionals in the First Capital Plus Premier League on Wednesday.
The Porcupine Warriors welcome the Tema-based side to Kumasi in buoyant mood after they stretched their lead at the top of the table to ten points.
The side managed a hard-fought 2-1 win over struggling Ebusua Dwarfs and midfielder Rahim Ayew has urged his colleagues to kick on again.
“We have not won the League yet. We have many more games to play and so we can’t get complacent,†he said
“It is when we know we’re out of the reach that we can start celebrating. At the moment we must keep on winning.
“The response from the team since we exited the CAF Champions League has been tremendous and we must keep fighting.â€
Kotoko perhaps boast of the best materials in the country yet they bundled out of Africa’s elite inter-club competition at the first hurdle.
