Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak are close to signing versatile midfielder Rahim Ayew after he trained with the club on Tuesday morning in Accra, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.Ã
The Phobians have held preliminary talks with the free agent who is eager to relaunch his career on the Ghanaian scene.
But talks halted over a clause proposed by the 25-year-old who wants to quit the club whenever a foreign offer comes through.
Hearts are keen to add two more players to their à fold before the transfer window closes on Saturday.
"We are still in talks with him [Rahim] and he even trained with the team today," club Communications Director Muheed Saed told Accra-based Peace FM.
"There are two more players to the squad before the window finally closes."
Hearts are tipped to excel this season after displaying a confidence display in the second half of last season.
