Ghana midfielder Rahim Ayew says he is ‘recharged’ for next season after battling injuries this term.
The SK Lierse player underwent a knee surgery in January and spent close to two months in the treatment room.
The son of legend Abedi Pele missed majority of the regular Belgian top-flight season but has returned in the play-offs for a UEFA Europa League slot.
Rahim has featured in all three matches so far and played 90 minutes in last Saturday’s 1-1 draw at KV Mechelen.
“It has been tough for me but I like my recovery. I have not lost anything in terms of my form and that is very good for me,” Rahim told MTNFootball.com
“I hope next season will be fine for me and the club.”
The former Zamalek player made a bright start to the season before the injury setbacks.

Wish you well
Good luck.
Good luck
Fantastic defensive midfielder wit an xcellent attacking intelligence-very strong, fast n confortable wit both feet. Very dynamic like lassana diara. My only worry is we’ve got too many defensive mid. The ones who r the attackers r also used in the def-mid- role @ their clubs. Sulley , k. asamoah, kumordzi, rabui and dereck boateng r all used in dis role. Even our up and coming stars like Afriyie acquah, Alfred duncan, Daniel kofi-adjei, Frimpong , amidu salifu and etc r all def-midfielders. This congestion leads 2 overcompetition, hence confusion. Our coaches hav not been doing well in producing attackers. They begin on the local scene as one and end up being defensive players outside. Most lack d creativity and intelligence 2 champion the role. TAWRICK gebrine & frank Acheampong r our prospects, but the qstn is r they in the right teams and league to develop. Trabzanspor is gud but i dont tink turkey & thailand r the best place to develop dis stars.
Well said D light, but don’t u think its the mentality of coaches in Europe who think the african player is intelligent & rugged who can break & destroy attack, & also initiate attack, that’s why all our midfielders are ending up being defensive mifielders?.
That’s my boy come back stronger than before. Good luck
That’s my boy come back stronger than before. Nawuni ni ti saha!!
@ ERICATO2 – u may b right wit coaches mentality on african players considering how attacking prodigies like mikel OBI & Seidu KEITA were turned defensive. BUTdat notwithstanding, most of em wit the obsession 2 make it give up on their gifted positions 4 any role, jst 2 hav a place in their teams. Seidu keita &obi hav 2 compete wit INIESTA & LAMPARD 2 b starters – d reason 4 the inferiority complex. Austin jay-jay okocha and others hav proven the worth of africans upfront. We are jst like the south americans- same colour, same strength , equal skill. If anthonio valencia (ECUADOR) and pablo armero (COLOMBIA) who are natural defenders, can b shifted upfront by dis same white coaches, den why cant it b a ghanaian footballers? The skills 2 thrill are in our genes. The difference btn the south americans (brazil, ecuador etc) and we africans (esp ghana) is dat, they hav the xperties to nature&develop talents, whiles we fail to prepare dis boys mentaly, physicaly and spiritually. Our mentality das not give us dat belief 2 channel our obsessions, desprations n will in2 competiveness. We rada show CONTENTMENT…
Good luck boy, he is a very good player and i wish him the best. But boy u need to work harder cos there more talented players in our league now and to get a position in the black stars will not a mere thing. So boy work more harder than yur brothers and get a position in the National team.
