Rahim Ayew says he is not surprised by younger brother Jordan Ayew’s rich vein of form after the he grabbed his 8th goal of the season to help Lorient win over the weekend.

The Ghana forward scored the all-important winner in his side 2-1 win over Caen in the French league.

Before that he had set up Raphaël Guerreiro to pull his side level after Caen had taken a surprise lead.

The goal was Jordan’s 8th of the season and Rahim Ayew says he is not surprised by the kind of season Jordan is having.

“Jordan is the future of Ghana football and we keep saying this all the time,” Rahim Ayew told Citi FM

“His form is not a surprise he has scored eight goals and most of them are game winners which shows how important he has become to the team.

“For me it’s only a matter of time before he reaches his peak and that should be good news for the nation.”
