Ghana midfielder Mohammed Rabiu is facing a one-match ban in Russia after being sent off in the weekend's league match for his club Kuban Krasnodar.

The Black Stars was sent off during Saturday's match against Terek Grozny which has resulted in the disciplinary committee of the Russian FA calling for action.

Rabiu was sent off at the start of the second-half of the match after receiving a second yellow card of the match.

The game, which is their second of the season, ended 1-1 but the Ghanaian must now face the ban after he was sent off in the 66th minute.

With two yellow cards the Ghanaian is likely to receive a one-match ban as a straight red card could have resulted in a three-match ban.
