Rabiu Mohammed now eligible to make Black Stars first team return
By Ameenu Shardow
Rabiu Mohammed is eligible to play for Ghana in the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan on March 24.
The 23-year-old has served his mandatory one-match suspension for receiving a yellow card in two consecutive games at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
Rabiu was cautioned in the quarter final win over Cape Verde and was again booked in the semi final defeat to Burkina Faso to incur the one-game suspension.
He thus sat out the defeat to Mali in the third-place playoff in South Africa.
The Evian midfielder is now free to play for the Black Stars against the Nile Crocodiles even though CAF is yet to serve official notice to that effect.
The ex Udinese player emerged one of the revelations of the tournament and is expected to figure prominently in the next Black Stars assignment in Kumasi.
The persistent tackler was part of the historic Ghana U20 team that won the WAFU, Africa and World cups in 2009.
Good player.jst need to wrk wth little mch more technically inclined team that releases the presure off individuals nd he will show more presenc of individual brilliance.good guy.
I love this guy, one of Blackstars finest midfielders now and Watch out for him in the world cup, Ghana are already in, believe it or not guys, ready for all the rubbish talks but i say so bcs i see it happening.
I see nothing special about this guy, he’s just an average midfielder. If I were the coach I wouldn’t pick him, cos all he would do really is get a red card or other unnecessary problems. Only lazy coaches like the current coach would call this clumsy player!
You are a dumb APE who does not understand the game!!!!
I love to see Rabiu play infront of the defence because of his height & his destructive abilities. He brings team balance.what is the essence of playing short defensive midfielders when you have a tall ones available.
YES, i prefer him more than DRECK BOATENG, because he aways win midfield bails and also share good pass at all,if he could be available i will like to urged my comments of him to play in stead of ”DRECK”
You will never stop hyping mediocres, what did he do in the afcon, wa he not there when we took fourth….stop the nonsense.. let him work harder. Shittttttt
