Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed believes he is not safe from getting dropped from the Black Stars squad for the World Cup.

The 23-year-old has been a main stay for the Black Stars since excelling at the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa.

The Kuban Krasnodar midfielder has only returned from injury having missed Ghana's successful World Cup playoff against Egypt.

Many believe Rabiu has done just enough with his tireless efforts to merit a place in Ghana's 23-man squad for June's World Cup in Brazil.

But the ex Evian TG man doesn't feel safe and wants to fight even harder to secure his place.

"We have a lot of Ghanaian players and if you have the chance to go [to the World Cup] then you thank your God, if not, you still pray for the team," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

"I will not be disappointed if I miss out because we have a lot players playing everywhere in the world.

"So no I have to fight hard at my club so that I can come and have a position in the national team."

Rabiu made four first team appearances for Kuban Krasnodar before suffering an injury which has kept him out of action for over two-months.
