The Premier League Board chairman Welbeck Abra-Appiah says the fixtures for the new season are ready but cannot be released due to the legal tussle involving King Faisal.

The fixtures for the 2014/15 season are yet to be released with barely a month to the tentatively set date for the start of the Ghanaian top flight.

The PLB however say the fixtures have been ready for a while now but have been asked to hold on due to the ongoing legal tussle involving King Faisal.

“The fixtures are ready but we are unable to release them because of the issue of King Faisal,” Abra-Appiah said.

“Because of that issue the venues for the Premier League game is not yet set so we have been asked by the FA to hold on until all these outstanding issues are resolved.”

King Faisal are contesting their relegation from the Premier League over a technicality against Aduana Stars.

The Kumasi-based club have lost its case but are heading for an appeal.
