Premier League Board withhold Premier League fixtures over leakages
New Premier League fixtures yet to be released

The Ghana FA’s Premier League Board is withholding the release of the Premier League fixtures over their fury of information leakages.

The full fixtures of at least the first round of the Ghanaian top flight were supposed to have been released on Tuesday.

But as it stands, the Premier League Board are yet to release the fixtures.

This is due to leakages of information over the league fixtures to the Ghanaian media early Tuesday morning, according to Metro941.com.

These leakages had the first three fixtures of champions Asante Kotoko well in circulation even before the original announcement was to be made.

Kotoko according to the leaked fixtures were to play Aduana Stars, Wa All Stars and face rivals Hearts of Oak in the third week.

No other information concerning the league fixtures were in circulation.

The PLB upon discovering this information was out there decided to withhold the release of the full fixtures.

Consultations are currently underway with a strong suggestion to have the fixtures re-done.

The 2013/14 Premier League season is scheduled to kickoff on September 15.
