Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak recorded yet another pre-season friendly win after beating second-tier side Sekondi XI Wise 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Division One side frustrated the Phobians in Sekondi and clinched unto their grounds solidly until Kizito broke their resolve in the 81st minute.

Herbert Addo paraded a strong side that featured Ghana U20 pair of Owusu Bempah and Seidu Mutawakilu while Ghana U23 duo Vincent Atinga and Richard Yamoah also started for the capital club.

Paul Acquah, Kenneth Okoro and Emmanuel Hayford were the other players in the line-up.

The Phobians failed to convert any of the chances that came their way with XI Wise showing enough quality and depth to drag the game into a battle.

Kofi Abanga and South African international Shaun October were introduced in the second-half and that produce dividend for the Hearts as they claimed the match-winner late into the game.

Abanga's magical defense-splitting pass found October who weighed in a sweet cross from the right, with Kizito unmarked, he brilliantly nodded the ball past the host keeper.

Hearts are using the game to prepare for the Ghana Premier League which is in hibernation due to a court issue between relegated King Faisal and the Ghana Football Association.
