The Chief Director of the Ministry of Energy, Professor Thomas Mba Akabzaa has urged civil servants to properly explain government?s policies and programs to the public at the ongoing Policy Fair.
This he believes will help bridge the knowledge gap of the public as far as government?s policies and programs are concerned.
The six-day fair on the theme ?Building together in a better Ghana? is expected to showcase policies, projects and activities of the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government.
On the sidelines of the fair is a dialogue series which will focus on the economy, the 2012 general elections, Creative Arts, energy, youth and national development, road, health and education.
Presidential Advisor, Dr. Christine Amoako-Nuamah who opened the fair on behalf of President Mills, asked businesses to take advantage of government?s good policies and interventions.
She also made a special appeal to the country?s youth to cease opportunities created by government to better their lot.
Information Minister, Fritz Baffour said the fair will offer opportunity for the citizenry to assess the performance of government in a transparent and accountable manner.
Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission, Paul Victor Obeng also told the gathering government is working hard to address infrastructure inadequacies.
