The Black Satellites resisted a fierce Portugal fight-back to book a place in Sunday's quarter-final tie at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup.

Kennedy Ashia scored first for Ghana before substitutes Michael Anaba and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom clinch victory for the West Africans in Kayseri.

Eric Ofori Antwi - 7.5

The 19-year-old Amidaus Professionals shot-stopper was at the top of his game as he made crucial saves to ensure Ghana stayed in the game.

The opening 15 minutes, when the pressure on immense on Ghana. He saved goal-bound efforts from Bruma, Aladje and André Gomes.

His diving save from a João Mário was the highlight of his impressive performance on the afternoon.

Richmond Nketiah - 5.5

The Medeama SC man was exposed time and again by João Mário the early stages of the first half though he managed to stabilize things midway through the half.

He picked a booking for a challenge on André Gomes in second half stoppage time.

Abdul Baba Rahman - 6.5

Baba was defensively discipline and held his forte quite well.

His occasional surges upfront was also worthy as he nearly scored the opener for Ghana in the 11th minute with a low drive from the edge of the Portugal box.

Lawrence Lartey - 6

The captain went into the game knowing very well of treats posed by Bruma who had netted five times in three group stages games.

However Lartey was successful against the Sporting Lisbon youngster as he checked him well in central defence.

Joseph Attamah  - 6

Attamah's partnership with Lartey saw yet another improvement as they successful handled the opposition forward lines.

Seidu Salifu - 6.5

The All Stars youngster, cast in the mold of Michael Essien, was workaholic in the midfield and made sure there was more space for his colleagues to operate.

Clifford Aboagye - 5.5

Aboagye was simple and straightforward on the ball and his passes were point on in the middle however he failed to become as dexterous as he is known to be on the ball.

Frank Acheampong - 7

His pace, skills and artistry made a huge contribution to Ghana's success. It was one of such orchestrations that brought Ghana the leveller after beating a Portugal defender.

Moses Odjer - 7

The highly-rated talent from Tema Youth was impressive on ball and his defence-cutting passes and courage to shoot from long range was remarkable.

Kennedy Ashia - 7

He justified Sellas Tetteh's decision to start him ahead of Boakye-Yiadom by scoring a sensational opener from 25 yards out.

Ebenezer Assifuah - 7

The Udinese-target was as usual strong and powerful in attack. He harassed and caused the Portuguese to commit more mistakes in attack.

Michael Anaba - 5.5

He replaced injured Moses Odjer and kept piling the pressure on the Portuguese and was inside the box to shoot home the leveller on 78 minutes.

Alfred Duncan - 5.5

The Inter Milan youngster took the place of

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom - 6.5

His contributions were vital and he created the second goal and scored a superb free-kick which put them through to the last eight.
