Ghana secured their place in next January's AFCON tournament in Equatorial Guinea thanks to goals from Abdul Majeed Waris, Wakaso Mubarak and Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu.

Tamale-born duo Waris and Wakaso grabbed crucial first-half goals before stand-in captain Agyemang-Badu cemented the win with a masterclass goal mid-way through the second-half.

Alanyaspor attacker Jonathan Ayite had scored before Badu sealed the win.

How did Ghana's players fare on the night?

Razak Brimah (Goalkeeper) 5

Tested on a few occasions in the game but the Mirandes glovesman showed poor reflexes and bad anticipation. His reaction to Jonathan Ayite's goal exposed concerns over his alertness.

Harrison Afful (Right-back) 6

Looked ponderous at times in defence and couldn't get forward to any great effect like he usually does. However, his smallish stature was not a problem as he managed to frustrate Emmanuel Adebayor.

Baba Rahman (Left-back) 6.5

Showed pace and ambition going forward. Promise for the future, although he is still learning. His vision and appetite to surge forward caused problems for the visitors defence.

Jonathan Mensah (Center-back) 6.5

Steadily towering in central defence. The Evian TG man was more aggressive in his line of duty and virtually kept Adebayor out of the game.

John Boye (Center-back) 6

Formed a solid partnership with Jonathan Mensah. Played better than what we saw in Kampala on Saturday.

Rabiu Mohammed (Holding midfield) 5.5

Quiet game but got through his usual mountain of work. Could have scored earlier in the first half but blew the chance. Won the midfield battle in the opening half.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu (Central midfield) 7

Impressive! Workaholic and covered more grounds. Took the armband from the injured Gyan and Andre and scored the third goal with a wonder strike.

Wakaso Mubarak (Winger) 7

Scored a cracker in the first-half. Creative in the middle and on the flanks.

Solomon Asante (Winger) 5.5

Enjoyed a great game in the first-half but his influence diminished and was replaced as the tie wore on.

Jordan Ayew (Attack) 6

Put himself about, worked tirelessly and was willing to mix it with the Ugandan defenders when the going turned tough. A player Avram Grant can count on when he fully takes charge.

Abdul Majeed Waris (Forward) 6.5

Outstanding!!! Led from the front with class and maturity and scored at his home town. Brilliant opening goal.
