Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says defender Rashid Sumaila will return to the club after the end of his loan spell at Asante Kotoko.

Sumaila, returned to Kotoko for game time after he was left out of Sundowns team for the season.

The 22-year-old excelled in his first season playing in 29 games as the Brazilians won their first league title in seven years.

Sumaila is on a season-long move at Kotoko and will return to the Chloorkop.

“We have a lot of players out on loan not only Sumaila but his case was unique,” Mosimane told GHANASoccernet.com.

“He is still our player and we are looking forward to having him back after the period.

“We speak a lot. We are monitoring not only him but most of the players we have sent out this season.”

Sumaila was a member of Ghana’s 2014 FIFA World Cup squad but was unused.
