The Stade de l’Amitie in Libreville, Gabon was a beautiful sight to watch as the curtains drew down on the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
Just before kickoff in the final game between Zambia and Cote d’Ivoire, the packed stadium was treated to wonderfully-worked graphics on the pitch with a feast of fireworks in support.

DROGBA MISSED A PK. DOES THAT MEAN HE SUCKS TOO?
Zambia u v really honoured chabala n co in a very grand style.God bless u.
Actually there is something behind Zambia’s mysterious advancement.Look they have succeeded in beating all the big names.EGYPT,GHANA,SENEGAL,IVORY COAST all on this competition. We have to re-think and encaurage our players. There is something behind Zambia as far as this competition is concerned.
which Egypt are you talking about? Egypt did not qualify my friend, they beat Senegal, Ghana, and Ivory Coast.
Zambia has do it. i’m so happy.
Point of correction. It is ‘DONE’ it but not DO it.
Zambia has do it. i’m so happy for them.
The zambians used 22 players comprising 11 human being and 11 ghosts. So how can you beat them??? This is the line up: Goalkeepers-Kennedy Mweene(Human) Efford Chabala(Ghost)
Defenders-Davies Nkausu(Human) Kenan Simambe(ghost), Joseph Musonda(Human) Winter Mumba(Ghost)/Nyambe Mulenga(Human) John Soko(ghost)/Felix Katongo(Human) Timothy Mwitwa(ghost), Hichani Himonde(Human) Samuel Chomba(ghost), and Stopilla Sunzu(Human) Robert Watyakeni(Ghost).
Midfielders-Isaac Chansa(Human) Eston Mulenga(Ghost), Nathan Sinkala(Human) Derby Makinka(Ghost), Chisamba Lungu(Human) Moses Chikwalakwala(ghost), Rainford Kalaba(Human) Godfrey Kangwa(Ghost)
strikers-Emmanuel Mayuka(Human) Patrick”Bomber” Banda(ghost) and Christopher Katongo(Human) Kelvin”Malaza” Mutale.
Hey Hey Hey stop this superstition thing. It was hard work…
I dont think he is serious. He is just trying to make a joke. If ghost play foot ball, then what are the ghanaian dead legends doing. It is appointed for man to die once, but after that judgement to face His creator (Hebrews 9:27). A mane has no power of his own to return to this earth to support a football team or whatsoever.
@LOLvFunny and aberico, am so exited. don’t mind about that, am just making fan. my religion abhors superstition.
Drogba lost a penalty, pity gyan but still ghana needs extra strikers and let Goran do hs work.dey were not just happy in 3rd place play offs
This was the best closing ceremony ever in Africa
you hav done us proud chipolopolo, keep it up and win the 2014 world cup.we owe it to one man,our coach herve renard.
Ghanaians must now take consolation in the fact that it was our time to take the cup home!THE BLAME ATTITUDE AND INSULTS MUST STOP!!. All the blames which were being thrown at the various people, are now turning out to be unfair and out of anger. We should cool down and reorganize ourselves for the next competitions and qualis ahead of us. Please give the coach the chance to do his job. If Ghanaians would remember The Zambian Coach – Herve Renard was once part of former Ghana coach Le Roy’s Team . Ghana gave him also the marching orders after the 2008 CAN (Ghanaians made fun of him , saying he was only a physical trainer and not a coach), now 4 years later his Zambian team threw Ghana out of the AFCON Semi-Finals and went ahead to win the cup! This is not the first time a former coach and his team has thrown Ghana out at the semi-finals of the African Cup. In 2008 it was Otto Pfister. Ghanaians must start learning to be patient with their coaches – ALL COACHES , whether foreigners or LOCAL. LET US GIVE THEM THE CHANCE AND PIECE OF MIND AND SUPPORT, FOR THEM TO DO THEIR JOB!!!

The coach, Kwarasey, Togoe, and Jordan (not a good striker) are not fit for the black stars. If we leave them in the team we will live to regreat it.
I really really loved the closing ceremony and in all the fire works.
I salute you all (GHABON.)
My friend Musah, which team beat Egypt in and out during the qualifications? If it was Zambia then that adds to their beating of Ghana,Ivory Coast and Senegal.
Good one
