Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong couldn’t help but have a little fun in the fallout created by the departure of David Moyes as Manchester United manager.

Moyes was relieved of first team duties this morning with Ryan Giggs stepping in as interim boss until at least the end of the season, with the Scot leaving less than a year after taking the job.

United are one of the biggest clubs in the world, which makes appointing the right successor to follow Moyes the biggest decision the club will make this summer.

Frimpong posted the above picture through his Instagram account poking fun at the perception which will now be created by rivals following the decision, with the managers of United’s main rivals seemingly protecting Moyes.

However, he also showed a good deal of respect calling the Scot a ‘class manager’ and suggesting the scale of his task was just too big for him.
