Former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah was honoured  for his outstanding contributions to Ghanaian football and his community at the second edition of the “Showbiz Honors†over the weekend.Â
The former Juventus midfielder was selected for honours this year due to selfless contribution to Chorkor, the community in which he grew up.
Appiah through his several charity works has among other things built a clinics for the community.
He has also contributed to the education of several children in the area as well as provided training and support for children who want to play football.
