Hearts of Oak say Philemon McCarthy will assume the leadership of the team in the absence of substantive captain Moro Abubakar.
The club captain is set to undergo surgery on an unspecified injury and will be out for at least two months.
Philemon McCarthy, according Hearts of Oak chief Neil Armstrong Mortagbe is the next in line in the teamââ¬â¢s hierarchical ladder.
