Philemon McCarthy was angry with Hearts defeat

Goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy says Hearts needed to make more of their first half dominance in their 1-0 loss at Ashantigold on Sunday.

David Duncan’s men were on top for most of the first half but wasted a number of goal scoring opportunities.

Shaffiu Mohammed punished the Phobians by scoring the only goal of the match leaving Philemon McCarthy livid.

"We could have buried them in the first half and even the second half with all the chances that we created but i must say congratulations to the Miners. They have a great team and a great defense." McCarthy told reporters.

"The league is a long journey. It is bad we lost this match but we should keep our heads up for the other matches left.

The defeat was only their second of the season so far after they were beaten 1-0 by arch rivals Kotoko on September 22.
