Ghanaian starlet Paul Quaye has targeted making his Spanish La Liga debut in the Malaga shirt sooner than later.

Quaye, 19, joined Malaga from Espanyol before the start of the current season but has been limited with appearances for the club's second-tier side in the Spanish third-tier league.

The youngster, who relates late Hearts of Oak legend Shamo Quaye, has already played in the Spanish top-flight as he became the second youngest player to achieve the feat while he was at Espanyol four seasons ago.

"I'm working to break into the first team squad here and very soon I will mark my debut for the club in the La Liga," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

He was handed an invitation by Ghana's U20 for the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup but he missed out due to injury.

He has also expressed concern over his international snub by Ghana.

He has started five league games for Malaga II this season, been booked three times and assisted a goal.
