Ghanaian forward Patrick Nyarko has expressed satisfaction over his side's narrow away victory overà Philadelphia Union in the American Major Soccer League.Ã
Nyarko, 27, scored first for Fire in the 9th minute before setting up Mike Magee to clinch victory for Fire.
When Quincy Amarikwa, a midfielder with Ghanaian root, made a run to pull the nearest defender away from Magee, Nyarko found the league's leading goalscorer, and he knew the rest of the play was a formality.
The victory has helped the Chicago-based side to stay safe in 8th in the Eastern Conference League table and Nyarko who has scored four league goals this season claims he felt side was going to seal the maximum points at stake.
"We were going to settle for nothing but the 3 points in win at Philadelphia Union," he told the Chicago Fire's website after the game.
Nyarko and Dominic Oduro have displayed commanding performances in the United States league scoring crucial goals for their clubs.
