Chicago Fire coach Frank Yallop has described Ghanaian winger Patrick Nyarko as a new signing and admits his excitement over his impending return to action.

Nyarko, 29, is looming close to full recovery and could be back match fitness in a fortnight to help Fire in their season campaign, joining Black Stars attacker David Accam in the squad.

The renowned winger ruptured his cruciate ligament and has been out of action for over six months, however, he is on the road to full recovery and is expected to feature for his side before Major League Soccer first round ends.

"I hate to keep saying it, but we’ve got Patrick Nyarko and Magee coming back. Those two guys coming are new signings for us, if you like," Yallop mentioned in an interview with MLS.com.

Nyarko has played at Fire since 2008, scoring 16 goals in 185 appearances.
