Parma recall Ghana U20 midfielder Adofo

Midfielder Godfred Adofo has been recalled by Serie A side Parma from the Ghana Under-20 camp.

The club released the player for the first leg qualifier played at the Nakuvibo Stadium on Saturday.

He will leave Accra on Monday night to prepare for the new season.

The 20-year old was an unused substitute as the Black Satellites lost 3-1 at Uganda in an African Youth Championship qualifier over the weekend.

Adofo, though will be absent for the return leg in a fortnight, believes Ghana can progress to the final qualifying round.

“We can still qualify and I believe we can win at least 2-0 to qualify on the away goals rule,” he said.

“Winning away from home is always difficult in African football so we have every opportunity to win and qualify when they [Uganda] visit.”
