Parma midfielder Afriyie Acquah is targeting a place in Ghana’s 2014 World Cup squad.

The 22-year-old has been impressive since he re-joined the Italian side on loan from German outfit TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in August last year.

The Ghanaian international has set an audacious target of making it into the Black Stars squad for the global showpiece in Brazil.

“It will be great to be part of the World Cup squad,” Acquah told Happy FM.

“I’m playing well in Italy and I hope I join my colleagues in Brazil.

“Ghana has good players and I want to be part of such a team.”

Acquah has made 15 appearances for Parma this term and continue to churn out commanding performances for the Crusaders.

He has only caps under belt.
