Afriyie Acquah cops one game ban in Italy

Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah has been handed a one-match ban for getting sent off in Parma’s Serie-A defeat to Udinese.

The 22-year-old received a second bookable offence in the 4-2 defeat on Monday will now miss Parma’s next game in the Italian top flight at home to Genoa.

Acquah has started all five Serie-A games for Parma so far this season.

His ban will thus be a blow to Roberto Donadoni’s side who have lost as many as four games this campaign.

Acquah will only be eligible to play for Parma again in their 7th week fixture Atalanta on October 19.
