Ghana defender John Pantsil proposed move to Premier Soccer League side Polokwane City fell through because of the player's personal terms.

City spokesperson, Patrick Baloyi, confirmed on Wednesday that they could not reach an agreement with the former West Ham United full-back as far as the personal terms were concerned.

"We failed to sign Pantsil because he did not agree personal terms with us, so we saw it suitable to let the player go,'' Baloyi exclusively told Sport24.

"He is a good player with a lot of international experience, but a decision was taken to let him go,'' he added.

Pantsil has since signed for second-tier side Santos FC.
