Out-of-favour winger Bernard Dong Bortey wants to gatecrash Ghana’s squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil insisting he’s not a finished product yet.

Bortey, 31, currently plays for Equatorial Guinea side Panthers FC after leaving Ghanaian side Aduana Stars at the end of last season.

The ex-Hearts of Oak talisman is confident of making the country World Cup squad due to what he claimed is his fine performances for his new side.

“I am a footballer and I will want to play for Ghana again when the opportunity comes,” Bortey was quoted by Allsports.com.gh.

“I have targeted Brazil and if the chance and my country call me I will grab that chance with my all, because I played with most of the guys who are with the team now.”

“I am not finished yet. I was in Ghana playing for Aduana Stars, but due to some problems I decided to move on. Fortunately, I got a club Panthers FC in Equatorial Guinea I’m their darling boy and it’s not by any chance, is because am playing week and week out and am doing well.”

“I have played almost every week since I moved from Ghana and my performance has caught the eyes of many of the clubs who are even chasing me for my services.”

Bortey has scored nine times in 27 international appearances for the West African country.
